The history of Darla and Angelus

Darla was never loved, still she had something beyond that...

She had a partner with whom she shared everything, and everybody... she had Angelus.
When she was human she had no friends or people who liked her... she was not Darla but a simple a whore.

Then she got syphilis and not even the priests could help her to find salvation for her soul. But one night she saw her destiny coming to her in the shape of a dream, only to see it completely fulfilled in the day to come... he fooled the others saying he was a priest, but he was The Master, the most powerful vampire walking on earth - or under it... and he saved her.. giving her eternal live.

The Master had his clan the infamous Order of Aurelius, considered a real court amongst the vampires, and Darla was the princess of this court. Everything was perfect until she met her true partner in one of her trips off the underground. It was an ordinary night and she was just looking for a meal, when suddenly she spotted a handsome man having a fight in that tavern. And he was perfect! At the precise moment she laid her cold blue eyes on him she decided that she would show the world to him... Show her world! As calmly as she could she walked into a dark alley as he was leaving the tavern and made her scene. And when he saw her he knew she was special. Just didn't know exactly how.

She asked if he'd like to see the world and when he said he would she made him eternal...
They started their unlife in his village, he killed everybody, including his whole family, dedicating a special treatment to his father who tormented him till the end and then she took him to the Master to show how smart her boy was..

When he met the Master he claimed that Darla shouldn't live underground, like a rat, she should have the view that she craved! The view he would give her, the lifestyle that only a person who lives above the ground can have. And as she watched her boy defying the Master in order to have her she made her decision: she would leave with him and leave the Master behind to tell the tale.
They spent a 150 years living in passion, killing and torturing, raising havoc in Europe and doing many other things we may tell you later.

We think they were happy...after all they wouldn't spent 150 years together if they weren't...right?
They have some very interesting stories to tell.. we'll let you know as soon as we know....
But one day Darla brought Angelus a present... a gypsy girl, very special one, and filled with lust he fed on her, draining every drop of blood until he killed her… poor Angelus, if he only knew what the consequences for his act would be. The gypsies are very vengeful people and they decided to curse Angelus with a soul... can you imagine the torture of knowing all the terrible things you've done and to care?

Now Angel knew. And when he came back home he found out that the woman with whom he lived for 150 years didn't want to share his problems... she sent him away, she couldn't live with his guilt.

But Darla had never been the kind or woman that would sit down and cry out her despair, she was used to fight against all the adversities of her unlife, and this time would be no exception. She wanted her Angelus back. So, she went after the gypsies but soon figured out that a massacre wouldn't be of any help...

They spent some time apart, but in 1900 during the Boxer Rebellion in China, Angelus found his sire and promised her to be evil again. Darla was not immune to his charm and accepted him back. Still, Angelus proved to have made a promise he couldn't keep and to Darla's disgust ended up trying to save a missionary family from her own fangs! By that time she could tell that they would never be the same again. Her boy was lost forever and the only thing she could do was watch him leaving… again.

Sometimes a hundred years is not enough time, specially if we are talking about a heart as broken as Darla's. Our two lovers spent quite a long time apart and meanwhile Angel went to Sunnydale in order to help the new slayer... she was young and knew almost nothing about the fight she would had to face... Darla was hot on his track and followed him to Sunnydale using the excuse of helping the Master to came back from his asylum... quite a coincidence.....

Angel started helping Buffy, the new slayer, on her fight against the Master, his old opponent.
When Darla found out that her Boy was helping the slayer taking many of The Masters minions, she came up with a bright plan... She would put Angelus to confront the slayer...

But her plan didn't work, cause Angel was in love with the slayer... and when Darla tried to kill Buffy, she got killed by Angel.

Wow! Can you imagine? The man you spent 150 years together with, staked you in your back, because of a girl he met the other day??? Could you get piss off? We would...
But she was dead... end of story...

Four years later Angel and Buffy finally concluded that they couldn't be together (this is another story to tell) and they split... Buffy stayed in Sunnydale and Angel moved to L. A. were he decided to fight the evil.... including Wolfram & Hart.

W & H is a company of layers that have evil plans..... we don't know exactly what kind of plans they have, but we do know that they are evil plans that do include Angelus... yes, the evil one... so they decided to bring his partner back..... So at the end of 1999 they brought DARLA back.
At first she was pretty confused, but then she remembered what Angel did to her... and got a little mad...wouldn't you?? Darla was back on the game, but please note… she was back as a human being with a heartbeat… no more vampire thing.

So she joined forces with Lindsey in order to make Angel suffer. First it was the dreams... Darla got hold of a special powder that could make Angel dream with her.... and what dreams! She could make him feel a little less guilty about the kills, and took him away from his cases and the redemption road. He was nearly mad... when she decided to show up... as human no less.
Angel got pretty confused, who would've guessed.. Darla... back ... as human?
That's right baby.... and she rocks....

Darla made up the whole scene and to the eyes of the Lady Cop Kate Lockley Angel killed her husband. But her boy was not exactly in the mood of being caught and managed a way to capture her and they had a talk... he found out that W & H brought her back... but even she doesn't really know why... The only thing that was crystal clear was that she wanted him back... after all she really wants him bad...

Angel spent his days trying to find out what W & H plans were. Darla started to feel cranky about human life, she couldn't see the reason to live, she wanted to be a vampire again, all powerful and evil, irresistible and deadly. Wicked. Angel rescued her from W & H just to found out that she wanted him to make her a vampire again... and he was sorry because he couldn't do that.
Darla couldn't understand that and told him she didn't want to see him again, but Angel did feel responsible for her and kept trying to help her... till one day he learnt that she was dying from her syphilis, the disease she had when she was human. He got desperate.. and tried to save her. He tried really hard, and in his attempt he almost gave his live in trade of a second chance for his Sire. But life is not a bless after all and they discovered that she was already living her second chance.

It was then that Darla finally understood that she had to die, like a human, and being as noble and honored as Angel was , Angel promised to be with her till the end. Which happened to be very soon once W & H was not ready to give up on Darla.... they bought Drusilla to make Darla a vampire again. And so she did! Darla was once again in the family. The dreadful Fang Gang was now rebuilt.

Angel tried to stop her, but the darkness was hunting him down. And he fired his crew. And got all alone to fight Darla and W & H. First he stared to work out exercising every muscle of his dead body, then did some research, but he was too dark... and knowing that he would not be able to fight the two vampiresses he set Darla and Dru on fire.

Darla was bruised and burned and Lindsey was the one who helped her. Angel decided to invest against W & H and she was there and they fought like the two predators they are and she managed to escape.

But Angel was not to happy when he found out that W & H was more that he could handle and got really pissed off. He went home to find Darla in his room willing to share his problems, hungering for his touch, wanting to make love to him, or whatever you want to call it.
They were together again, and she thought she had her Angelus back!

But she couldn't be more wrong. Instead of a moment of true happiness Angel had only an epiphany. Yeah, a moment of clearance.... and WOW! That gave Darla some disappointment... she said she was a professional... how come he didn't achieve true happiness...???? not to mention that he came 3 times! Angel explained that he didn't love her and that the next time he sees her he will have to kill her. She was left with no words.

Time goes by and as Angel finds out how strange it is to live in a world without Buffy, Darla discovers that she is bearing something inside of her... Something or someone. Darla is pregnant and no matter how hard she tries to get rid of the child it seems to be stronger than anything she had ever seen before. She asked for help, visited Shamans but no man or demon was able to kill the life that she had inside her belly.

And she is big, crazy and hungry. The child seems to consume all her strengh and no matter how much she feds herself it is never enough. After going through every option she had, Darla figured out that there is only one thing left to be done: Take the child to its father. Angel.

She arrives at the Hyperion and confronts Angel and the gang about the paternity of the child. Angel denies it, he despises the idea of two vampires being able to create life. He is afraid of it. And Darla decides to strike back, hunting little children in Angel´s city. But it seems Darla's forgotten that her Angel has now a soul and will do anything to stop her from harming people. They fight and it si not easy, it is not fair. And Darla is not feeling on her normalself.

In tears, she finds her way to a sweet kind of redemption when she finally admits that this baby is making her feel strange. The sound of its heartbeat is driving her nuts and at the same time giving her hope. A hope she knows will be gone when she finally deliver the child, cause it is his soul that is bringing her those emotions, those feelings. It is Angel's baby and it is human.

Angel is surprised by the realization that Darla is afraid. Afraid if being human or after delivering the baby, not being able to be human any longer. He promises her that together they can face it. That they can be a family. She smiles, knowing that he had never been so wrong in his whole unlife.

Odds are that the two vampires will have some bad times. There is a vampire hunter, Holtz chasing them. A hunter that has come from the past just to anichilate the couple. And there are several vampires arrive to claim the child as their saviour. Darla rejoices until one of them say they would kill the mother and keep the child. She decided to side with Angel and the gang and together they manage a way to escape. But she is already feeling her body contourting in pain and as much as she tries she can't deliver this baby. She is dead, she can't breath.

Angel grabs her hand and ask her to be calm reassuring her that together they can work it out. But Darla knows that her boy is afraid and tells him that together they´ve done many terrible things. So much destruction, so much pain. She looks at him in the eye and continues telling him that this baby was the one good thing they´ve ever done together and that he must be sure to tell the baby about this. And before Angel can react she grabs one of the splinters of wood and buries it in her chest, gasping. Angel lifts his head and stares as Darla turns to dust. Where Darla was there is now a naked human infant lying in the rain, crying.

Angel carefully gathers up the baby. Holtz steps through the hole in Lorne's wall into the alley. Lifts the crossbow and aims it at Angel as Angel slowly stands up, cradling the crying infant. Fred hands Angel's jacket back to him and he wraps it around the infant. Holtz is watching them over his crossbow. Angel slowly turns his head and sees Holtz.

For a moment they just look at each other.

Holtz slowly lowers his crossbow, still looking at Angel cradling the infant against his chest. After a beat Angel slowly walks past Holtz, Fred clinging to his right arm. The vampire hunter left his prey go away but still he swears he shall show no mercy. Darla is gone and Angel is left alone with their baby, Connor.
